Hello everyone,
The company where I work has recently migrated to Visual Studio 2022 from 2017 but one functionality that we use a lot has disappeared.
No longer appears and all we have is:
The same behavior happens for TFS queries.
I have been searching online for solutions, found some for 2019 that seem to work but these don't work for 2022.
Azure devOps Office Integration is installed and work items are running in legacy experience.
Anyone has gone through this?

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. Since this issue may be also related to Azure DevOps/TFS(they are not supported in Microsoft Q&A forum currently), could you share us some steps to reproduce and confirm this issue? Where/which node/file/project did you right-click to show the context list?

I am sorry for the late response but I have been out of the office.
The issue is related to TFS, but I thought I could get help here. Can you point me to the correct Q&A forum?

For TFS questions, you can post on our Developer Community - TFS. I can see the difference, I have checked the docs, and looks like VS 2022 still supports this feature. Do you still remember what you have installed in VS 2017 before to use this feature but forget to install for VS 2022? Maybe you can try installing Azure DevOps Office Integration 2019 separately from here, instead of installing it from VS Installer.

We are also encountering the same issue. Although we have one user who has this feature even when using VS Community 2022 with Azure DevOps Office Integration installed.
Other users have the same install but do not have the open in excel feature available.

To be honest I am not sure, but I have checked the Individual components and workloads between VS 2017 and 2022 and I have all the mutual items. Installing DevOps Office Integration 2019 separately didn't help, but thank you! I have also checked the docs, it does say it works but we still havent managed to make it work. I will post this question on TFS Developer Community. Thank you for your help.

Which version of Office are you using? We are using Office 2016. Knowing that someone is actually able to use it on VS 2022 is a good thing. Please let me know if you figure this mystery out.
We are using Office365.
I am hoping that MS Support will give us a definitive guide to ensure this feature works.
Or a reason why it works for one user and not another.

We have the same issue in VS 2022 Version 17.5.4. What will be the solution?
