How to convert Outlook email to SharePoint List Item?

Hello,

Does anyone know a good way to convert an Outlook email into a list item? Or even create a new list item with the Outlook email attached? I am looking into ad-hoc request tracking and am trying to find a way for users to take emails and create list items from them, for tracking purposes.

I actually settled on using Flow to create the SharePoint list item once an email is moved or copied to a folder in Outlook. I used the HTML to Text action to remove the HTML formatting from the body. This seems to work pretty well.

Thanks Julie. Unfortunately I've no idea how to accept a reply as an answer. I've struggled with this before here. On other sites, there is an "Accept as Answer" button. Here? I've no idea where they have it or what the secret it. Seems so strange to me to create a new site but then make accepting an answer difficult to find. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You need to use the account that posted the issue, which has an "accept it as answer" button.

In this case, please log in to the anonymous user account to accept your solution as an answer.

i have noticed that when i create a quick step to copy a mail to a specific folder the above automation doesn't work, however if I copy a mail and CTRL+V into the specified folder the automation works. not sure why. any ideas?

As a simple test, we can add an email file with the suffix .msg as an attachment to the SharePoint online list.

I agree that this is a way to do it, but I was looking for something more automated.
