Hi,
Within Windows, I cannot create the proper hot key to the input method below.

Hi there,

Are you getting any error messages while you are creating the hot keys ?

How are trying to create the Hot keys ?

Here are some common reasons why your keyboard shortcuts might not be working
-Inversed media keys
-Language bar
-International keyboard layouts

Thanks to all. I tried to set that and did not see any specific error from that. I am not sure if there was any company policy change (of the domain/network) leading to the issue. In the past, it was fine to switch to that Input method.

Hi,@Peter_1985 . Is your problem in the wpf project? Or are there many applications that cannot use hotkeys to switch between Simplified and Traditional?

Have you downloaded the required language pack (Chinese)?

Click Add a language to search for the language pack on the opened page and click Next to download it.

Then you can see the input method and click to switch it. When you choose the Chinese input method, you can switch between simplified and traditional Chinese through the set hotkey.

I choose Key combination below

but I cannot press Ctrl + Shift + E to call the input method.

Hi,@ Jackson1990-7147. Ctrl+Shift+E here is to switch between simplified and traditional Chinese when the current input method is Chinese, not to call the display input method.

Is your current system windows10 or windows11?

If it's Windows 11, you can try the steps below to display input methods in Taskbar.

Go to Setting -> Time&language -> Typing -> Advanced keyboard setting -> Check if Use the desktop language bar when it's available is checked

note：
If you only have one keyboard language in Windows 11, the language bar or icons may not appear on the taskbar because you don't have another keyboard layout to choose from. If this is the case, you can add languages through the Language and Region settings in Windows 11. You can also check the above settings to see if multiple keyboard languages have been added.
