Microsoft Authenticator says, "This action will overwrite security information for your account."

This happened after I migrated from Android to iOS. I enabled cloud backup in the Authenticator app while using it on Android. But when I added the app to the iPhone, there were no two-factor authentication codes in the app.

Then I read the help section related to the Authenticator, and it said that when you change operating systems, you will lose those codes and have to add them again manually.

But when I try to add them manually to the app, the app says, "This action will overwrite existing information for your account. To prevent being locked out of your account, continue only if you initiated this action from a trusted source"

What does this mean?

Microsoft Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
A Microsoft app for iOS and Android devices that enables authentication with two-factor verification, phone sign-in, and code generation.

The only way to switch from ios>android>ios is to turn off two factor at service provider, then set them all up again on the new device.
