Teams Channel and associated SharePoint site is missing

We had a Teams channel and an associated share point. This sharepoint was also used to share some reports to the customer.
I guess when all of us left the Teams channel , it automatically got deleted.

However the files in the associated sharepoint is also deleted and it has become very important to our customers.
Is there anyway I could restore those files.

Hi,

Are you using an account which is the private channel owner or Team owner?

Hi @Kael Yao-MSFT Here is a little bit of history.
my manager was the one created Team/channel and he made me a owner of it
After sometime my manager moved on to different project
Later, I too moved on and I think both of us (manager & I) left the teams channel and that's when I guess the teams/channel all got deleted!

Is the Team/Group still present?
If yes, is it possible to contact the current owner of the Team/Group? As the Team owner should also be able to restore the channel.

If the Team/Group is also deleted, I suppose we may need to start from restoring the Team.

As per the previous owner, I am the last owner of the Team/Channel.
It seems the Team /Channel got deleted as soon as I left the Team!

Can the MS support team restore it for us ?

To me it may depend on whether the Team is removed within 30 days.
If not I am afraid the files may be lost and not recoverable.

From your description, I suppose it is a private channel which has a standalone Sharepoint site, and it has been removed by the channel owner.
(By default the owner won't be able to leave the channel unless he assign another owner, or he may need to delete the channel)

Was the channel removed in the last 30 days?
If yes the Team owner or the channel owner can restore the channel, which would also restore the associated Sharepoint site and the files.

I've just encountered the exact same problem. I managed to restore the Private channel however the site is missing. It has been 1 day since the private channel was deleted.

It has been 3 hours since restore and still can t see the files.

is there a minimum wait time?
