Storage Migration Services stuck at "Adjust Transfer Settings"

I have been testing storage migration services in a sandbox environment trying to put together a standard procedure for Domain Controller storage migration.

In this testing, I am unable to get past the "Adjust Settings" part of the Transfer Data step. I have selected all possible option combinations in order to try getting it past that step, including just skipping to the next step by clicking the next one in the left hand side panel. However when I do get past "Adjust Settings" this way it does not hold my selections of "Don't transfer users and groups (required on domain controllers or when seeing DFS Replication" which is required for the transfer of data between two domain controllers.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having issues related to Storage Migration.

Work around this issue, use one of the following options:

Temporarily move the source computer from the Active Directory OU that applies this conflicting GPO.
Temporarily disable the GPO that applies this conflicting policy.
Temporarily create a new GPO that sets this setting to Disabled and applies to specific OU of source servers, with a higher precedence than any other GPOs.

Have managed to get past that stage in my own test environment now where the exact same issue was being seen...

First, followed the instructions in the Known Issues Document (Linked by Limitless Technology) for the section: "An error requires resetting the Storage Migration Service database"

Then, switched from using Chrome to Microsoft Edge and it made it successfully past the "Adjust Transfer" settings page to do the transfer.
