Azure Backup of on-premises not reporting uploaded data correctly.

Our server has 426GB of data. A local full backup is 401GB. The Microsoft Azure Backup says that backup from this server is 19.99GB as of today, and yesterday was the very first backup to our Azure Storage Vault.

When I go into Azure, it shows that first backup as having been 333GB which I suppose is fine since it probably has better compression than an on-site backup.

Is there some type of a fix for the Microsoft Azure Backup? Seeing that only 1/20 of the actual data size can make a person panic, thinking that something is not working.

@Tom Hodsdon Thank you for contacting us!

I understand that you're finding difference in the amount of data backed up to azure. You will see difference in data backed up locally and to azure due to compression. However, the data19.99GB is the most recent backup data which is an incremental backup and not the full backup.
