This is probably really simple, but i have two nics on server,,, one internal use and the other external (pointing to gateway for internet access)

Both are statically assigned with one gateway on the external interface, while the internal one has no gateway but dns as 127.0.0.1 as dns it also on same box..

DC can get access to internet, but client who joins domain cannot.. (limited connectivity)

on client :: i have entered gateway pointing to DC, same for DNS, but still nothing...

ping requests transmit failure , till i adjusted IPv4 acne entered gateway, the retrying leads to " request timed out"

so must be heading in the right direction..

in the setup with two nics on DC, do i need to install RASS? as i already have forwarder entered in DNS: 8.8.8.8, but client still cannot get access..

This is the only thing left i have not done yet..

Multi-homing a domain controller will always cause no end to grief for active directory DNS. Remove one of the adapters. Never install the RRAS role on a domain controller. Domain controller and all members must use the static ip address of DC listed for DNS and no others such as router or public DNS.
