Hi,

I am interested if CosmosDB is a good fit as a backbone for financial trading application. Also I am looking for further documentation/articles on the subject.

I am curious in general if CosmosDB regardless the supported API can be used as database for trading apps, if it's a good feet.

But if you need an API: SQL, CASANDRA or Mongo

In CosmosDB use case scenarios, there is nothing about financial apps. If you are in support team or black belt team or do you have access to any DB support team, can you provide this information to me?

I don't think it's actually suitable for that. You can give it a try, just be ready that your project may flop because of that. If you're willing to develop an attractive platform for trading, it can be a better idea to take a look at the best platforms in that field like Koyfin, check it out, learn about all the benefits that make people turn to it, and consider them while creating your own financial trading application.

Hi @Anonymous Thank you for letting us know.

I was able to check with the cosmosDb product group and this is what they said.
There aren’t any public references for trading platforms or documentation on how these systems are built using Cosmos DB or any Azure cloud services. But you can visit Azure Architecture Center and browse the content on Financial Services architectures there. Please see also the banking and capital markets public references which include Cosmos DB.
