Azure AD Directory Missing

Hello,

I use Azure AD Connect to sync my local AD to Azure AD, and when I went to log in to the Azure AD portal it would not take my email or password. Through further investigation, it appears my Azure Directory does not exist anymore. I found a Q&A answer that said to try making a new Azure account and seeing if the old directory showed up. I was able to create a new account and log in but the old directory still didn't show up under the Switch directory page.

If needed, I can provide the original directory ID and domain.

Hi ChrisVick,
I suspect there is some confusion in the description of your problem.
I’d suggest some sanitized screenshots and another attempt at explaining the problem.
It’s impossible for Azure AD to not exist in Azure.
Is suspect you mean your AD Connect is no longer syncing and thus your on-prem AD accounts are not available in Azure AD.?
There are several steps you may have to take to troubleshoot AC connect at your on-prem domain controller - please clarify if this is what you need help with.

My apologies for not being clear. To clarify what I mean when I say my Azure Directory doesn't exist - the directory that AD Connect has been syncing users to is missing from the Azure AD portal. I can access the Azure AD page, but the directory ID is different and no users except me are in the directory. For example, the previous directory ID that AD Connect was syncing with began with 6aea0e9b-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX, whereas the directory ID that exists now begins with 73183a88-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX. So as a result I couldn't log in to either the Azure portal or the Office 365 admin portal as the original directory doesn't exist.

Here's a screenshot of the Switch directory page where it only shows the incorrect directory ID.

I wanted to check if you are still facing this issue. If yes, let me know so that I can handle this thread.
Looks like someone might have linked your subscription with different directory. If this is the case, then post linking the subscription with new directory, old directory will go to orphan state. And post 90 days the directory itself will be deleted.

Hope it is still not been 90 days since you had access to old directory.

Hi team, I cannot see "Azure Active Directory" link under my favorites. Please let everyone know what information I can provide you with. I am trying to prepare for AZ-204 can cannot find this link, or be able to search for it under "Services."
