Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.
As per my understanding seems like your test connection was successful but the scan is failing with above error. Could you please confirm if it happening consistently or intermittently? Most of the times Internal error are transient and auto-resolve and they happen if there are any issues within product. In case if your issue is consistent then I would recommend filing a support ticket for deeper investigation.
