I am working for a research institute in South Korea.

I'd like to use Visual Studio Community to develop Software that control a robotic system. This robot system is intended for academic research.

According to the License Terms of Visual Studio Community, the software can be used for free when it is for academic research.

and, this document defines "enterprise" as:
"An “enterprise” is any organization and its affiliates who collectively have either (a) more than 250 PCs or users or (b) one million U.S. dollars (or the equivalent in other currencies) in annual revenues, and “affiliates” means those entities that control (via majority ownership), are controlled by, or are under common control with an organization."

So our research institute is classified as "enterprise".

In this situation, what I want to know is whether we (even enterprise) can use Visual Studio Community for free if the purpose is for academic research.

And, if it is accepted, I also would like to know how we can prove that we use it for academic purposes.

Thank you.
