Import user data from database table / view (HR) into Active Directory

Microsoft used to have a product to do this, Microsoft Identity Manager. I've read that some features of MIM have been imported into Azure AD, but I can't find anything stating that this exact feature has been moved over or how to do it. We would like to update certain employee data from an HR (Oracle table / view, not Peoplesoft), but could export to CSV or MS SQL Server if we had to, and bring that data into AD. Manager, Location, phone number, etc.

I know we can do this with PowerShell, but i would like to use something like MIM or similar so when I go on vacation I don't have to cut it short to fix it when it breaks since I'm the only one who knows PowerShell here. I've used other IDM products in the past at other jobs and know there are more things that we might end up using an IDM solution for anyway.

We're running Azure AD Connect already if that helps.

Thanks.

Hi @Harrison, Stewart - Microsoft Identify Manager is fully supported and Microsoft recommends MIM to address this need right now. We are working on new functionality in Azure AD to enable customers to bring in data from additional sources beyond Workday and SuccessFactors and you should look out for updates in our “What’s New” documentation for more information later this year.

Keep a look out for announcements during Microsoft Ignite as well, we'll be discussion this scenario there!
