RDS disconnecting randomly

We are using RDS over Azure AppProxy and this is happening quite frequently.

Using RDS externally fine when suddenly the disconnect pop ups come up (see pic)

My Internet connect is OK - 200MB - I cannot see any timeout setting in RDS or AppProxy that my impact this.

Typing the creds again won't work - I will have to sign out and log back into RDS login page to get back into RDS.

Any ideas?

This issue seems to be intermittent and it would require a deeper investigation, so if you have a support plan, I request you file a support ticket, else please do let us know, we will try and help you get a one-time free technical support. You can find the subscription ID on the overview page of any resource such as Virtual Network/Virtual Machine as below:

Updating this thread with the latest information before closing it:

We created a support case to troubleshoot this issue and below was the initial action plan provided by the engineer:

The Azure AD Application Proxy connector must be updated to at least version 1.5.1975.0

Please check if the MsRdpClientShell Class ActiveX control is present and enabled in Internet Explorer.

Since the Azure AD Application Proxy endpoints only accept TLS 1.2, you must ensure that the Remote Desktop client uses TLS 1.2.
To enable TLS 1.2, please follow : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3140245/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-default-secure-protocols-in-wi

The above steps did not fix the issue and the engineer requested authentication logs/PSR to troubleshoot further.

However, you have now stopped using RDS over AppProxy and not using WVD, hence the support request was closed per your request.

Hence, we are closing this issue.
