CSV export of a sharepoint list is including all versions

I want to export a Sharepoint list by clicking on Export -> Export to CSV.

The list contains ~ 5000 items, but the export contains exactly 30000 items. The reason is that the export is including all versions of all items (30000 is the max number of items which is supported by the export).

I have already turned off the versioning in Settings -> versioning settings. How can I turn off the versioning definitely? Thanks in advance.

Hi,@Tommaso di Bucchianico , Does this happen when you export other lists, and does this happen when other people export this list? Whether all version data is exported in the same file?

Hello @Jing Sun_MSFT , thank you for your answer and the code. I did not test your code because I'm not looking for a programming solution. I just wanted to find and fix a error in the configurations of the Sharepoint list.

I cannot use a script to export, because this would not work for all my colleagues.

I couldn't reproduce this issue on my end and didn't find any related threads like yours. It is hard to go on further troubleshooting. I would suggest creating a service request in Microsoft 365 admin center. Microsoft experts will help you check this issue from the backend.
