Hello, I have this join account I am trying to use. The password connects and works when I verify, but when I click apply and ok and close the box, I will re open it and I will get this connection error. It is like it not keeping the password in the field.
Correct. This is by design. When you reopen the dialog for account from the TS task, the password is not repopulated. The dialog does fill in dots to indicate that a password was previously entered, but it doesn't actually have that password as that's now locked away and securely stored for use during the execution of the TS. If you want to test again when reopening the dialog, you need to re-enter the password.
The computer still does not join the domain after the image process. Is there something else I can check? Thanks.
You need to review the Windows setup logs, setupact.log, setuperr.log, and netsetup.log for details since it's really Windows setup performing the domain join.

Troubleshooting with logs is more than just looking for red. You need to read and dig into the details provided -- error messages aren't the only important things or relevant in log files. The two errors noted in setuperr.log are the only ones relevant here but they are out of context so you need to find these same lines in the setupact.log (setuperr.log is just an extract of lines from setupact.log) and then read about what's going on.
Thank you. After reviewing the logs more in depth, I researched more online and found that what fixed it for me was under the "Apply Network Settings" Domain OU- I needed to change it to something more specific than "computers"
For whatever reason when I chose a more specific subfolder it worked fine. Maybe the account did not have permissions to add to "computers" that is my only guess.
Oh ok, the image keeps failing to join the domain, but we will try again. Thank you. I updated the pw here, Active Directory and also under the admin-security-accounts in sccm.
