Linux Client: Why when I share my screen on a Voice call, do I lose audio

So far, using Teams on PopOs 22.04 has been a miserable experience.

1) When talking with Co-workers, if I share my screen, my audio suddenly cuts out, and teams report that no microphone is found. Stopping sharing does not solve the problem. Only hanging up and re-starting a new call works.

2) Some team members have also noted terrible background noise, and others have not.
I am using a Kraken 7.1 Usb audio headset. On Windows, in Teams, my Audio is fine..

Issue 1 is a deal breaker. Please help! It has been a month since I got my new job, and the terrible teams client for linux is really interfering with my job duties.

    Hi @Paul G

As there is no troubleshooting guide for this I would recommend giving feedback directly to Microsoft through feedback:

If you are running Pulse Audio you may want to look into:

P.S. PulseAudio seems to trip-up when audio devices are unplugged/plugged in. I submitted a bug report for this behavior and received a reply that basically it's a known, upstream issue. Until this behavior is ironed out, I basically don't unplug my headset. In my case, I'm ok with it because I don't use any external speakers anyways, but if my headset does get unplugged, I just plug it back in, reboot, and I'm back to where I need to be.
