Pinging the domain name will just result in one DNS server replying. There is no influence on which one reacts. Ping is not site aware.

I have one main AD domain: A.local which is running on two domain controllers (and DNS servers) named DC1 and DC2 and one subdomain sub.A.local running on two another domain controlers DC3 and DC4.
I configured DNS forwarders on DC3 to DC4 to DC1 (I need workstations in sub.A.local to send their external DNS requests only to DC1, but when they ping for A.local domain they still have IPs of DC1 or DC2 as a corresponding nameservers).
My question is... Is it possible to configure this DNS environment where workstations in sub.A.local subdomain will receive only IP address of DC3 when they ping for A.local domain without removing DC4 from DNS nameservers list?
