Repeatedly getting "UPLOAD FAILED We're sorry this didn't work..." message when working on SharePoint files

I'm trying to edit some SharePoint files on my Home machine running Office apps through Microsoft365 on Windows 10.

Often, when I open a file I was working on the previous day I get the message "UPLOAD FAILED We're sorry this didn't work..."

This is usually preceded by an alert asking me to sign in, which I do by entering my school account username (I'm never prompted for a password).

I cannot even save a copy of the file in the same location.

Then, frustratingly and without user intervention, the issue resolves itself until the next working day (or reboot?)

Is this just something I need to put up with, or is there an option somewhere I should be changing? It's perhaps pertinent to note that I have another Microsoft365 "business" account signed in on this machine, together with a personal account.

    Hi @Mr Pearce ,

    1. Type Upload in the Cortana search bar (bottom left, right beside the start menu button)
    2. Click the top result: Office 2016 Upload Center
    3. The Upload Center app will now appear.
    4. In the Upload Center, click on Settings
    5. In the Settings pane, under Cache Settings, click the Delete cached files button
    6. Also in the Cache Settings section, make sure the checkbox is CHECKED This will ensure that any cached files are automatically deleted from the cache when the document is closed.

Thanks - I've seen this suggestion a few times but it looks like the Upload Center has been deprecated. Certainly I can't open it. That functionality is now built into the Office Apps themselves - but making the equivalent change didn't help...

Cheers again for your suggestion, though.
