MIDL 3.0 Declare Costant

Is there some secret way to declare a constant in MIDL 3.0? I get that there are no aliases, but there's no way to declare a constant? I can put a #define in the idl, but the compiler seems to ignore it.

You could refer to Introduction to Microsoft Interface Definition Language 3.0 official document. With MIDL 3.0, you can only use an expression in the definition of the value of an enumerated type's named constants.

Which you lose the ability to do once you set the switch to output enum classes. There's no flag or attribute to mark an enum one or the other.

Yep, but it's only way that set constant in MIDL, if you do want to this feature please go ahead submit a feedback in the page bottom.
