how to disable the Outlook Address Book download for a cached mode profile

Question

Hello. Can I use Online AB instead of Offline AB in caching mode ?

DownloadOAB 0 in "HKU:..\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Exchange Provider\OABs not worked.

Exchange 2019 on-premise

Outlook 2019 Pro plus

Hi!
Please create a “ANR Include Online GAL” entry in “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Cached Mode” path in Outlook’s registry. After that , change the entry’s value to “1”. Then you can restart Outlook to verify whether it works.

The OAB’s download is designed by the program and cannot be changed. If you must turn it off in Cached Exchange Mode ,I am afraid that you need to break Outlook's OAB function. But I do not suggest you to do that. Microsoft would not take any responsibility if this behavior brings bad consequences.
