Hi, currently I have an AWS (EC2) Virtual Machine Running

Windows Server 2019 - Note: they only offer server machines

This environment is not used as a Domain Controller nor dose it have multiple users accessing it.

It operates more like a Windows 10 single user machine. (however in reality it IS a Windows Server 2019 machine)

In this scenario I figured Home and Student would be fitting, as I only need Word.

However since it is on a Server Machine I didn't want to go ahead with purchasing it before knowing

  1. Does It aligns with the EULA
    &
  2. Would it even install on a Server Machine

P.S
I did research this before posting, and was unable to find an answer.

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Hi @Ctrl+Shift+Enter

    1) Does it align with the EULA?

As long as you purchase it and use it on a single machine as stated in section 2(b):

    b. Device. In this agreement, “device” means a hardware system (whether physical or virtual) with an internal storage device capable of running the software. A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a device.

[If anyone knows anything more feel free to correct me].

Additionally, according to the other restrictions, as long as you are not trying to virtualize the software or break any other rules, I do not see any problem with this.

    2) Would it even install on a Server Machine

Yes, it would work on the Server. I have installed Office 365 on Windows Server 2019 in the past to view CSV/XLSXs before and it works (Word, Excel, etc).
