Hey everyone

We have Azure WAN configured but it's too expansive and we would like to use just the VPN gateway.

Can I migrate the Virtual WAN resources to the VPN gateway?

    Hi @Leandro Rampanelli ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.
I understand that you are trying to migrate from vWAN to the Azure VPN gateway.

I am afraid that this requires manual configuration only.

    • You can create a new Hub Virtual Network with a VPN gateway in it.
    • Establish all the S2S/P2S Connections
    • Then remove the Vnet connection from vWAN and peer the spoke Vnets to this VPN Gateway VNet with "Use Remote Gateway/Route Server" enabled.
    • The last step would require downtime.
