visual studio code...cannot open vs code....Unable to write program user data.......A system error occurred (EPERM: operation not permitted, mkdir 'C:\Users\ ......Please make sure the following directories are writeable:

    Hi @Blogger jay ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

    Since error message says "make sure the following directories are writable", I think you need to check if you have corresponding permissions for these specific directories. Please go to related directories, and right-click the folder > Properties > switch to Security tab > Edit > select your account and make sure the "write" permission has been assigned.

    If assigning permissions still doesn’t work, since Visual Studio Code(VS Code) and Visual Studio IDE(VS) are two different products, and VS Code is currently not supported in the Microsoft Q&A forums, you can post VS Code related question here: Stack Overflow - vs code.
