I added the inbound rules of port 80, and port 22 so that I can access the python web server from another device. And also to connect from my Linux VM to the host OS through SSH. These are not working.

I tried to use Predefined rule and also made a rule using port they are added for sure but still they are not working..

    Hello,

In this case, I would recommend to check on the source of the connection if specific outbound rules have been created or if there could be any conflict.

Something that may help you is the tool PortQry GUI from Microsoft, in order to scan and detect the status of ports on Windows machines:

Are the client machines on the same network subnet as the host?
Are the rules set for the "All" profile?
Do you have "Any" specified for the local and remote address in the rule?
Do you see a green check mark icon next to the rule name?
Do you have any 3rd party AV software, like McAfee, installed?
In the Inbound Rules section, click on the Action column to sort the entries. Review any rules that set to Block and see if they might apply to the inbound traffic.

Temporarily disable the firewall for your network profile to ensure that it's the Windows firewall that is blocking the traffic and not something else.
