Azure AD replaced usernames with numbers ex: 8c93bb74-a544-4adb-9c54-0d0bfcb46f16@companyname.onmicrosoft.com

Affects Some users

Outlook is still working but cannot log into office 365 portal for with original name joe@companyname.com without onmicrosoft.com to log on and check email, and phone email stops working.

The Problem seems to come and go.

Our Onprem AD says successful syncs and see nothing unusual on onprem AD

any ideas?

    Thank you for reaching out to us. As I understand you are seeing issues in your Azure AD usernames replaced with numbers, as per the example mentioned in the question.

    Would like to check users in question how do they look in metaverse on your AD Connect ( sync) server ?
    Any errors on your Sync server that you have noticed ? How many users are impacted by this behavior ?
