Hi I registered for Free trial account using my credit card. I got a message with SI for Merchant: Microsoft businesses with description: card on file and amount as Rs 200000. How do i stop this

i also have same query. As a precaution i have raised a ticket with Microsoft and cancelled the SI as well.

Why are we getting message of 2 lakh rupees that too on Free trial just in few minutes without any usage. This is ridiculous.
Kindly help to resolve the issue asap
Has anyone resolved this issue- Please comment back on how to resolve the same. This is very serious issue .

i directly contacted my credit card provider and cancelled the e-mandate

Even I have had an e-mandate on my card for maximum of 200000. I found it accidentally and I guess this was also the reason why I couldn't use my card anymore for any other auto debit transactions too ever since because that's the max limit of my card. This probably was generated so that when the azure free trial ends and if the account is actually charged, they could use the mandate to autodebit from the card. I found out e-mandates are handled by sihub.in and discovered this mandate siting on my card for over a year already. this article is helpful on the whole matter
