Please don't uninstall the company portal app. The Company Portal can sync the policies, such as device profile, compliance policies, app configuration policies, protection policies etc from Intune.
Theoretically, intune will check compliance around every 8 hours.

Based on my understanding, without the Company Portal app, there is something wrong with connection between devices and intune.
