I have a Azure Synapse Workspace and It was working fine all along for almost a year and since 3 days ago, the default Managed Private Endpoint that comes when you deploy the workspace with the Managed Virtual Network is no longer working. Because of this, some of the pipelines are failing. The Managed Private endpoint is always in a "Refreshing" state.

All the other Managed private endpoints that I created on my own I working fine. Since this Manged Privavate Endpoint came with the Synapse Woksapce, I cant delete it so that I create a new one.

Welcome to the MS Q&A platform.

My understanding is you can even delete the managed private endpoint that came with the synapse workspace. I tested this by deleting both ondemand and the serverless SQL private endpoints and synapse automatically created them both.

Please let me know if you see any errors while deleting and recreating the synapse private endpoints.

Thank you @Bhargava-MSFT for the response. Yes it turns out the delete icon would sometimes appear when its refreshing so I managed to delete the endpoint. The issue now is, the endpoint was not automatically recreated. I actually deployed another Synapse workspace to test out your advice and the endpoint there was recreated fine after deletion, but the one of my Production instance is no longer appearing. Its been roughly 8 hours since I deleted it now.

But the most confusing thing is even though it has been deleted, all the pipelines that were failing before are now running successfully. I am now wondering, which private endpoint are they now using, because only those that are in the above screenshot are active and all of them I have manually created. There is none that connects to sql or sqlOnDemand

This is strange. Can you please try creating the synapse-managed endpoint manually and see if it lets you create them?
If you are looking for a root cause, I would suggest you create a support request so that the support engineer can look into the logs for a deeper investigation. If you don't have a support plan, please let me know. I can enable a one-time free support request for you to work closely on this.

I tried manually creating the endpoint and it does give the error below. Which means the endpoint is there but its not showing.
