I am running Thunderbird mail with filelink. I want to upload some PDF files to AZURE Files from my workstation, so that they can be retrieved via a URL in a mail message. This is in lieu of using the email file attachment feature. What variation of AZURE files should I use and what should I use to upload the PDF files? Filelink requires the server name and connection information.

@David Forsberg Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A. I understand that you want to upload files to Azure Files from your Thunderbird client using Filelink.

We do not have a specific setup for Thunderbird client with Azure at the moment. I would suggest that you reach out to Thunderbird support regarding this.

If you need the URL for Azure files, it will be similar to- https://<storage-account-name>.file.core.windows.net where you need to replace <storage-account-name> with the name of the storage account. Usually a SAS Token is added to this for authentication. You can find this URL as shown below in the Azure Portal:

If you need more information to be able to connect to azure files, please let me know what details you need so I can assist further. Hope this helps.

Please let us know if you have any more questions and we will be glad to assist you further. Thank you!
