hi all!

my work laptop got upgraded a while ago to windows 11, at the time it was working great!

a couple days ago i started receving this message when login in with the domain user.

the laptop is AMD, 32gb of ram, and was working fine in the week or so after the upgrade.

i reseted the pc back to windows 10 and upgraded again and still got the same error.

our IT is clueless. my final solution is do install windows 11 from a USB stick instead of upgrading.

I was able to login with local user, and the error message is prompt whenever i click login even with incorrect password for any domain user!

Thanks,

Daniel

    Hi,

It seems there might be some updates or patch deployed that could have caused this issue as you were able to login to Windows 11 after the upgrade.

I will suggest you follow the steps over here to remove and verify if any new patches were installed recently. cannot-log-into-windows-10-after-update

    Hello DanielBublil

This error may be related to the next issues:

    • The operating system is 32-Bit (Like Windows 7 32Bit) and there is an issue allocating memory if the RAM installed is more than 3GB. The recommendation is to perform an upgrade to Windows 10, as Windows 7 is a product out of support
    • Antivirus / Antimalware software is monitoring some unnecesary system paths which prevent memory allocation from pagepool. Please run a clean boot in order to discard or confirm:

    • Windows Firewall may be handling too much connections. For this please apply the next change in registry:
      Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer
Key: Create new, Right-click the blank area on the right pane and select New>DWORD (32-bit) Value. Then name the new key as maxworkitems.
      Value: 1024
    • Check the integrity of performance with MSDT. From a command line, go to the path C:\Windows\system32 and run:
      MSDT /id PerformanceDiagnostic
      MSDT /id MaintenanceDiagnostic
*You will receive a pop-up with a wizard to follow instructions and complete each diagnostic.
