Hi All,
Some of our users are unable to load images when local recipient send them an e-mail with HTML based content.
it appears little square and X sign when they access message.

Images are linked in an internet site. All users go to proxy server to access Internet.
They reach and see images via browser but Outlook is not showing content in the body.

Image source like this in html source --> <img src="https://websitename/sample.png">

I checked known controls in the forums.

  • Clearing IE cache --> issue persists
  • Outlook Safe Mode --> issue persists
  • temp folder access control --> OK
  • Outlook Trust center "Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items checkbox" --> check box disabled. issue persists
  • After forwarding problematic the email to me , the images appear in my Outlook.
  • Sender and recipient are in the same mail domain. thats why I haven't added as safe sender

I suspect local machine or user GPO.

Something goes wrong but I didnt figure out.
I want to make sure what should I do after these steps?
Thank you.

    Welcome to our forum!

it appears little square and X sign when they access message.

On the other hand, in order to confirm if the issue is related to the image itself, please contact the sender to send an email with another image and check if the issue occurs.

    Hi @ChristyZhang-MSFT
it didnt work the solution that you propose.
I need a little correction as well. Additionally, we see different display when the image disappears in mail body. I have added as attachments to this entry. 236417-mk1.jpg236339-mk2.jpg236408-mk3.jpg236350-mk4.jpg

    What else should we do?
    Thank you.

    Hi @ChristyZhang-MSFT

I tried the solution for the condition 1. it didnt work. issue persists.

I tried the solution for the condition 2. I checked the registry for BlockHTTPimages. this registry value was absent.

    Client OS is Win10,
MS Outlook 2016 version is 16.0.4549.1000 (32 bit)

What else do you recommend for solution?
    thank you.
