I am currently using Azure Virtual Desktop with multi-session.

User profiles are stored in Azure Netapp Files.
We have set up a Profile Container in the Group Policy.

In order to reduce costs, we are planning to change the storage location of user profiles to Azure Files.

When making the change, we are thinking of copying the VHD files of existing user profiles from ANF to Azure Files.
folder from ANF to Azure Files.

After copying, we plan to change the destination of the Profile Container to Azure Files.
Are there any risks or concerns with this migration procedure?

    @ryosk25

    Thanks for reaching out on Microsoft Q&A Platform.

    As long as you make sure that permissions for the shares match and you perform the copy while the profile containers are not currently mounted to prevent any locks preventing a full copy then it should be fine.

    Hope this helps.
