Does Microsoft offer a pro advisor in Teams to help small businesses set up Teams communications so that we could make outside calls? Right now we're just doing interoffice communication and we'd like to be able to call outside the building.

    Hi

    Need Microsoft Advisor

This is a community forum :-)

There are some Microsoft employees but most of the supporters including Moderators are "just" nice people from the community which came to help others. These community experts (which include Microsoft MVPs) are usually top experts and in most case they can provide the best solutions.

Does Microsoft offer a pro advisor in Teams to help small businesses set up Teams communications so that we could make outside calls

    Please clarify.

There is a service named Advisor for Teams which can help you a lot. If this is what you are looking then you can get more information here:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/use-advisor-teams-roll-out?WT.mc_id=DP-MVP-5001699

    https://learn.microsoft.com/office365/customlearning/custom_teamsadvisor?WT.mc_id=DP-MVP-5001699

If you mean a person to follow your businesses, then this is NOT something done free, except using community open discussion places like here in the forum. A limited help is given in different project like Microsoft Partners for example.

You can find free course at the Microsoft Lean site: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/?WT.mc_id=DP-MVP-5001699

Another awesome place for Teams which you must check is the Teams support site. You can find recordings, tutorials and more Check it here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/teams

Usually when you need one-on-one support and if you do not have a support channel then as much as I know in most cases Microsoft point you to third party support.

If you need more information and options, then please try to be more focused on what exactly you want to get, do you look for free or paid support, and in what platform do you want t get it (in person, online community, online one-on-one and all you can provide)

    Hi @Pam Nelson

Based on your description, you want to communicate with outsides calls. To enable users to make calls outside your organization, you need to connect Phone System to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

To connect Phone System to the PSTN, you can choose from the following options:

Calling Plan. An all-in-the-cloud solution with Microsoft as your PSTN carrier.

Operator Connect. With Operator Connect, if your existing carrier participates in the Microsoft Operator Connect program, they can manage PSTN calling and Session Border Controllers (SBCs).

Direct Routing, which enables you to use your own PSTN carrier by connecting your Session Border Controller(s) (SBC) to Phone System.

For more details about PSTN connectivity options, you could refer to this article.
