    Hi Jenny Yan,

I am currently using Windows 10 Build 2004.

I have try every methods that the links you have given to me.

And none of the methods works.

If you go to the settings, system, storage, temporary files.

And remove only the Temporary Internet Files.

And lo and be hold and go back to the Storage Option.

And it does not want to clean the files.

How come... It is still giving the same amount of disk space of Temporary files.

I still reckon that it is still buggy that need to be fix in Windows 10.

    Hi,

I think there shoule be some pre-configured files in the Temporary Internet Files folder which could not be totally deleted.

If these files does not take up much disk space. You could just ignore it.

If you insist that it should be an issue, please post your concern in "Feedback Hub".

I had this issue for years now and i'd like to share my solution with you(& for future me, if i encounter this again and search the web).

    Background:

Windows stores strange structures for its data, those CAN'T be found within the explorer even if you've ticked "show hidden files". Those are searched by microsofts DiskCleanUp in order to free up space. Sometimes, there can be invalid entrys, i.e. if you changed the volume serial number, partitontable, GUID etc. (search for volumeid if interessted). Windows will delete the data contained in the searched folders succesfully, but a ghost entry for files on a non existing volume may persist in that case.

    Solution:

-use totalcommander(as admin) to open the folder, where DiskCleanUp found those "undeleteable Internetfiles"
    -delete file "content.ie5"
    -delete folder "IE"
    143123-totalcmd.jpg
-close totalcmd and run windows DiskCleanUp again

Windows will rebuild those folders and DiskCleanUp should display the correct filesizes now

    hi,
I have the issue as well. It worked before. I restarted my device and it went to 0 bytes. Now, tried the same process but not working. What am I doing wrong? Can you create a video on how you actually did it?
