Hello,

I have an issue with Windows Admin Center, by mapping an Hyper-VM and managing his virtuals machines wich his principaly centos 7 environnement, we can connect on the VM with the "Virtual Machines" pannel but it seems there is a strange thing with the keyboard :

The keyboard is in a strange qwerty (not a real qwerty) if i type something, but the keyboard on my laptop is well configurated in French :

I find how to solved the issue, by changing the keyboard of my laptop in English, i can now write in French (i'm French) :

So it's a strange situation that i want to solved, if you have any informations please let me know, i really want to solved this issue.

Another thing is that if i use the connection with the remote access on the Hyper-V with the WAC, i don't have any issue with the keyboard, it's well in French so it seems it's well related to the OS.

Thank you very much,

Victor Ultré

    Hi Victor,

Here the issue might be due to a keyboard layout issue.

The second issue is due to the language pack.

I will let you know how to download the language pack.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings. (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)

Tap or click Time and language, and then tap or click Region and language.

If the language says Language pack available, tap or click Options.

Note: If you don't see the Language pack available, you might be able to download the language pack at the Download Center.

Tap or click Download. The download process might take a while, depending on your PC and the size of the language pack.

I suggest you go through this link for better understanding : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-your-keyboard-layout-245c49b8-f856-7fd7-2cf5-41e54c66f5b3#:~:text=On%20a%20hardware%20keyboard%2C%20press,you%20want%20to%20switch%20to.

Unfortunately, I can confirm that two years later, this issue is still not fixed.

I guess it has something to do with non US keyboard, or that it might be specific to the French Azerty keyboard in windows because that's also what I'm using.

I'm managing several servers through Windows Admin Center and the keyboard mapping is still a complete mess when connecting to a VM directly from WAC.
Also no matter the language I chose for the keyboard on the connection page, it's always the same weird QWERTY keyboard that is not even similar to the US keyboard... it looks like it's weird mix of French AZERTY and QWERTY keyboard.

The issue appears for every VM you try to connect to with WAC and has happened to me with WAC installs.
