Hi

I'm trying to install the Azure Site Recovery tool on a 2012R2 HyperV host (plenty of spare resources and it 100% up to date with Windows updates and has been restarted repeatedly.

The wizard starts and runs OK, accepting the info in the registration key file (I' have downloaded multiple in case a bad key file is the issue). However after running for a few minutes it comes up with the error

"The ASR cannot be registered due to an internal error. Run Setup again to register the server."

I've pasted the logs below. I notciced this one

10:22:37:InnerException.Type: Microsoft.Identity.Client.MsalServiceException, InnerException.Message: AADSTS500011: The resource principal named https://RecoveryServiceVault/australiaeast/RRAzureMigration-MigrateVault-1812498562/4883723339450805646 was not found in the tenant named IDMAADTenantaepod01. This can happen if the application has not been installed by the administrator of the tenant or consented to by any user in the tenant. You might have sent your authentication request to the wrong tenant.

However I was logged in as the admin account on the HV server and downloaded the registry file, so it's 100% definately the correct tenant.

I'm at a total loss and would love some assistance if anyone has ideas

    Hi @Andrew Weeks
    Based on your log errors,

it looks like you have a problem reaching the urls used by azure site recovery.

Do you use any firewall or proxy on this network? need authentication to access?

You need to put the urls to bypass your firewall, without authentication, or configure proxy in asr installer

here you will find all URLs to configure on proxy

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/azure-to-azure-troubleshoot-network-connectivity

On Hyper-v, test the urls that are in your log, such as:

Get in touch if you need more help with this issue.
