Lost Backup Microsoft authenticator apps

Question

I use Microsoft authenticator apps for many purposes, both personal and work. I used this application for a long time, when I changed my cellphone, I could bakcup online using Hotmail email. Right? I have never had any obstacles during this time.

But yesterday I reformatted my cellphone, with the confidence that the accounts in the Microsoft authenticator apps have been backed up as usual, later I just log in to my Hotmail account then the accounts that have been added before will appear because they have been backed up online.

The problem is, yesterday after logging in my accounts did not appear, none of them, how could it be? Even though the accounts are important personal and work

That is unfortunate, just checking if you had also enabled backup to IOS?
