I found these links on: Prereqs How to using new EAC The prereqs doc asks for creating a sub-domain in Google Workspace and match the same name in Office365>Domain but I need the domain to be same as we are moving away from Google Workspace. How will this work in Google workspace if I set the sub-domain as green.com and then create it in Office 365 also as green.com Is the migration straightforward as the how to doc? I have an Hybrid setup here, apart from adding the domain in Accepted Domain on my On-prem EAC is there anything else needed to be done on-prem? Any gotchas to be aware of? Cheers, M

Thanks Everyone, I found out that I can do the sync without the subdomain. I will take over the domain in O365 via MX records at the end of the mailboxes sync.

Generally we follow the steps introduced in the official document to finish the migration.

I haven't found much related information about the migration to the hybrid environment. just like the discussion here: https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/2309330-google-workspace-migration-to-office-365-hybrid-environment

Hi,

If you do not create sub-domain and change the point of the MX record to O365 directly, before you completely migrate all mailboxes to O365, the mailflow for gsuite will get impacted.

Adding the subdomain can ensure your mailflow work correctly.

And if your mailboxes are migrated to your hybrid cloud side, the official document above about O365 part is enough, your on-prem side does not require additional operations.
