Dear experts,

I've installed hundreds of same laptop model but this is a very odd one that whenever I tried to install new OS via MDT, it ended up with attached cmd black window. Any idea where I can troubleshoot and what might be the fix for this?

Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

1,It's firstly recommended to check the smsts.log and bdd.log to see if there is any useful information. Refer to:
    MDT logs

2,Is it the only device facing the issue? How about the drivers?

    Thanks for your time.

    Best regards,
    Simon

    Hi @Simon Ren-MSFT ,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We have over 100+ of this same model but yes this is the only one having the issue.

The symptom looks very odd to me, at the command prompt I ran the commands to diskpart and clean the disk, then exit the command prompt, the computer restarted and suddenly it was continuing the installation and Win 11 got installed successfully in the end.

I'm not really sure what happened but the issue has been gone now.
