Caching of a report and its subset

When I am running a report in Power BI with no filters it brings the data in 50 Seconds. Now the data should be cached. If I apply any slicer or Filter the results should be returned quickly as this will be a subset of Initial results that took 50 seconds. But this is not happening and running the query again with the new Filter and takes almost same time to get a subset of initial results.
Is this an expected behavior of Power BI or Am I missing any trick here ?
