scanpst.exe says "minor discrepancies"

Microsoft Outlook Inbox Repair Tool (scapnpst.exe) says:

"The following file has been scanned: C:\Exchange\mailbox.pst
"Only minor inconsistencies were found in this file. Repairing the file is optional. To repair it, click Repair."

However, the Repair button is grayed out and can't be clicked.

This is obviously a bug rather than a feature, but what kind of bug is it? Is scanpst.exe just being obstinate or does the dialog box text need to be updated?

Thanks for any thoughts.

    Hi @Keith Conover ,

    Welcome to our forum!

As i know, the Repair button will only be present if the .pst file needs repaired and it's normal to have a few errors in it. If you want the .pst without error, it's suggested that you could try the following two methods:

    1. Close Outlook >find the .pst file ad rename it>restart outlook. Then a new .pst file will be created.
    2. Create a new profile(Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>add) and add your account.

    Hope the above help!
