How to get term store or taxonomy values from sharepoint using Microsoft Graph api

MOD Administrator 1

I have SPFx app which is having the the permission "Termstore.Read.All" permission in config file under web api permission requests
{"resource":"Office 365 SharePoint Online",
"scope":"Termstore.Read.All"
}

Above permission is approved by admin under api permissions. But still I am not able to execute the graph api call https://graph.microsoft.com/beta/termStore/groups

Which throughs error saying "User doesn't have right access to site"....
As per microsoft documentation it should work... any assistance really it would be helpful...

Hi @MOD Administrator , I've done some research on this issue, and through some documentation, it looks like the resource property seems to have the following requirements when the Microsoft Graph API is called in the SharePoint framework. Thanks for reaching Microsoft QnA, it seems from your query the API https://groups.microsoft.com/beta/termStore/groups is wrongly referred, it should be graph.microsoft.com not groups.microsoft.com https://graph.microsoft.com/beta/termStore/groups.

By using GET https://graph.microsoft.com/beta/termStore/groups I am successfully able to get term store groups, please refer to my test result below.

This will work if Graph api permission provided by admin. But I am trying to provide this permission in Azure AD, under API permissions I provided Read permission for the AD app.. This AD app permission provided in SPFx

Hello @MOD Administrator ,

Looks like after my initial response you seem to change the graph query.

For SharePoint Framework components, you should be providing Admin consent for API Access from SharePoint Admin Center, under Advanced>>API access refer to below screenshot.

Below are the steps I done in my personal tenant....

SPFx config file, I added the Taxonomy Read permission.

I deployed in app catalog and the api permission

}

Approved by admin in ShatePoint admin center ...but still the response is same.... if I provide graph permission in graph explorer it will work in spfx code.. but I am looking for the Spfx app to get this permission instead of providing it globally.....

As recommended by @Zehui Yao_MSFT , could you try replace your code as per use-aad-tutorial.

- "resource":"Office 365 SharePoint Online" should be used when using SharePoint REST API V2 https://{tenant-name}.sharepoint.com/_api/v2.0/...

"resource":"Microsoft Graph" should be used when using Microsoft Graph APIs
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/...
