Hi all,

I have replicated the VMware servers from on-prem using Azure migrate.

  1. When I do the test failover it preserves the vmname of the replicated servers and since on-prem servers is online as well before the cutover it disrupts the on-premise traffic and the new traffic after the testVM creation goes to cloud where as till cutover the traffic still go to onprem. Is there a way we can change the testVM host name or any other way where the test dailover can continue without disruption to on-prem?
  2. I was looking for a checklist which says what are the supporting infra should be recreated after Azure migrate not only replicated VM? For example: If the application mounted the ftp location in the replicated VM, specific encryption etc. Do we have such a checklist by any chance ?

Regards
Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep,

There is a detailed migration planning guide over here - concepts-migration-planning

Did you isolated the Test Migration Network? By looks of it you didn't and it caused an issue, please read this part and the diagram for isolating the traffic and avoiding DNS issues.
