Hi,

Microsoft has announced the update of the dataverse connector for Azure Logic apps: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/connectors/connect-common-data-service?tabs=consumption

As we are using this connector quite a lot in our project, I want to make sure that I unstand this correctly:

In our Logic apps all the dataverse actions updated (at least the symbol changed from the old grey one to the new green dataverse symbol).

But if I create a new action i now have two versions of all actions:

For the existing actions in our logic apps, do i now have to manually change every "add a new row (legacy)" to a "add a new row (preview)" action?? Or will they continue to work after September 2023?

As a Test I created one of each in a test logic app, and when I click on the "About" button of the actions, both show "Connector: Microsoft dataverse (legacy)":

Im quite confused with this wording of microsoft, so any feedback would be highly appreciated!

Cheers

    @Milo Sikora ,

At the moment the new dataverse connector is in Preview. When this goes GA, the new actions and triggers will be the only available ones and the legacy ones will be hidden. Workflows using the legacy actions will continue to work until we fully decommission the legacy actions which is about one year from now. So customers will need to migrate to the new actions and triggers at some point.

The new Dataverse connector will go GA soon. I will update the date in this thread once I have a confirmation.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.

    Hi there,

We have a scenario to filter the rows based on modified by display name as part of the LogicApp trigger, but the display name is not coming from the add or modified trigger output, as a result, we are making another call to D365 using List Rows, to get all the details. I'm wondering if is there a way that we can get the display name directly from trigger outputs as well.

    Thanks

So, we are now less than two months out from the legacy operations being unavailable for new workflows and the new operations are still in preview with no clear announcement on when they will be GA.

This basically means that we cannot do any new Logic App development to Dataverse from here on in as we cannot use preview functionality in production and will soon be at risk of no longer being able to implement any new functionality using the legacy operations.

The same in current situation we are migrating Power Automate Flows to Logic Apps, and in current state there is nothing that we can use in Production environment as either the action is a legacy one or in preview mode.

Is there any new date, when those action will be in GA mode?

I have read something here, but not sure if this is the final date.

Any update from @microsoft on this?
Currently, all Dataverse connector actions are suffixed with either "legacy" or "preview". If GA has already come and gone for this connector, then why are the actions still suffixed with "preview"? And why is the connector still suffixed with "legacy"?
