Not sure if I get the question but will try so your password write back is not working from Cloud after the reset? Did you configured AAD Connect and enabled the settings as per this article?

2022-09-07T09:01:26.377+00:00 SSPR require PC to be connected to Domain in order to update password on PC.
SSPR will not need domain/vpn connection if device is AAD joined:
