Does visio support import from Postgres without issues?

Question

I'm exploring MS Visio trial app for creating ERD diagrams for our data model using a Postgres database. Unfortunately the trail version has the import from database feature disabled so I can't test it. I read about a possible issue with importing from Postgres where the datatypes do not get imported correctly. Is that still an issue with Visio 2019? Does Visio fully support importing from a Postgres database?

My best suggestion is to rent the software (Visio 365 Plan 2) for a month as it is a small investment. You can also buy Visio 2021 with a one-time purchase option as seen in the below link if you want a buy-out option:

Visio2019 does not correctly display the data type when importing the postgres database.
The workaround is to download the driver on the Internet so that Visio recognizes the postgres data source as an ODBC data source, the driver needs you to find it yourself, Microsoft officially does not have this driver.
