Windows 11 Enterprise subscription is active, but not activated

Hello,

I have Microsoft 365 E5 subscription assigned with "WIndows 10/11 Enterprise (original)".

I cannot get my Windows 11 Enterprise activated. The system says "Windows 11 Enterprise subscription is active", but the Activation state is "Not active", since "Windows reported that no product key was found on your device. Error code: 0xC004F213".

I don't have a firmware-embedded key or Windows License Key and expected that the M365 E5 would cover this.

The article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/deploy-enterprise-licenses#step-2-pro-edition-activation does not clearly say if M365 E3/E5 requires a Windows Pro to be activated first or M365 E3/E5 subscription has an included license key and can activate Windows.

Could someone point me to an article where it's clearly said if M365 E3/E5 can activate your Windows or you have to have either firmware-embedded or any other key on your own before you can use E3/E5?

Thank you.

Read on here. I'd check that the device is Azure AD joined.
