Have been watching the IOT hub, IOT Central video and had a question, maybe someone could answer. Could the IoT central be used like an MDM? Some facilites deploy phones for personnel but don't normally have an MDM to manage the phones. Could phone upgrades and software be pushed to the phones?

    Hi @Allen Primeau

    I do not believe that using your smartphone as a Azure IoT device is a replacement to a MDM solution.

    Hello @Allen Primeau ,

    Theoretically speaking, I would say nothing is impossible and you are right: IoT device management deals with similar challenges as managing phones or other equipment.
    Nevertheless, I would recommend inspecting existing and well proved solutions like intune first before building your own MDM.
