Hi Microsoft Team,

I would like to know if there's a official and updated list for Remote Desktop Services Network and firewall port requirements in Windows Server 2016?.
all i can see is on below reference but it is RDS 2012 version i wonder if we have the updated article or documents from 2016 to 2019 or latest as of this moment.

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/16164.rds-2012-which-ports-are-used-during-deployment.aspx#Remote_Desktop_Licensing_Server

Currently we have the following:

  1. RD connection broker
  2. RD session host
  3. RD virtualization host
  4. RD Gateway
  5. RD Web Access
  6. RD Licensing Server

Thanks

    Hi @Homer Sibayan ,

Well the base functions and features are all the same the only difference is the OS and other additional new features that are upgraded with the Operating System, so RDS and all the components still connect over the same ports that is listed in the Wiki. I have not across any additional port requirements other that that WIKI so I will use that as a baseline to start with.

So there are not additional requirements as far as I know and the upgrade is supported from Windows 2012R2 to the latest OS as per this article, so dont worry and goodluck.

    upgrade-to-rds
